VMU talks with film composer Lance Warlock about his music, career and the entertainment Industry. Lance Warlock Biography Growing up with a father who was a stuntman, I never knew what to expect. Going to the Walt Disney Studios lot to watch my dad, Dick Warlock, in action were experiences I will never forget. For the majority of people, this was a fantasyland... a dream job. For me, it was simply reality. My Dad got up everyday to go to work to fall off buildings, get into fights, walk on fire, and play a killer. Doesn't everyone's Dad do that? Then in 1981, the call came in. Dad was asked to return to work in his role as the soon to be legendary killer, Michael Myers for 3 additional days on "Halloween II." The film was finished when John Carpenter wanted to add a few things to the final cut. During those 3 days, I would have the chance of a lifetime. For a kid of 12 years old, who had grown up around it, I was now going to live it! Carpenter asked me to play the small part of the "Boom Box Boy". What else would you say when John Carpenter asks you to be in his film? "Yes, sir! Please?" From there, I had the opportunity of working with my dad on different films for 5 consecutive summers. I was a stunt double in both "Halloween III" and "Angel." I can also be spotted in an episode of "Baywatch," thanks to my brother, Billy Warlock, who was one of the original stars of the show. He and I grew up around this for so long, it seemed only reasonable that we would attempt to make our marks in the entertainment business. Acting became Billy's passion. He landed parts on "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital," and even "Happy Days." Dad, Billy, and I have always joked that "Halloween II" was a family affair because we all were in the film. Again, how cool was that? For me, music and movies have always been a part of my life. It seemed only natural to integrate the two. I have always believed in working hard to achieve your dreams. I have since had the opportunity to score such films as the horror, suspense film, "Fallen Angels" and the worldwide DVD documentary, "Halloween: 25 Years of Terror." My latest project is for director Dante Tomaselli's newest thriller, "The Ocean." Today my music partner, Leon Bradford, and I are on a quest to get our names out there. Our passion for music and film is our driving force, and our ultimate goal is to get our music heard around the world. VMU SHOW OCT 2008 Actor/Stuntman Kiran Shah

VMU goes behind the scenes with talented actor and stuntman of many great films Kiran Shah! Kiran Shah :: born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1956. He lived in Kenya until he was twelve years old when his family decided to move to India. It was in India that Kiran decided to get involved with films, but due to his fathers poor health they decided to leave India and move to England, London where his brother was already settled. Kiran continued his studies in London, but was still interested to get into show business. In 1973 while reading Time Out magazine he spotted an advert auditioning for the Red Buddha Theatre Co., encouraged by his brother he decided to audition. He successfully got the part of the main clown and mime artist, and went on tour with the company in Italy, in the play ‘Man From The East’. For the next four years he appeared in various experimental theatre productions. In 1976 Kiran had his big break into films, his first film was ‘Candleshoe’ standing-in for a girl called Sara Tamakuni. On location stunt coordinator Bob Anderson, asked Kiran to do stunts for Sara. From then on Kiran’s stunt career started and he hasn’t looked back since. On the same film while being at Pinewood Studios Kiran was spotted by a producer John Dark who asked him to audition for a film 'The People That Time Forgot' for a small part. Since appearing in this film playing Bolum, Kiran has appeared in various films, television productions, commercials and videos. These include ‘Legend’ in which he was co-starring with Tom Cruise, and ‘Titanic’ where he did stunts for several children. He was also involved on 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy with director Peter Jackson. He was scale double and stunt double for all the Hobbits mainly Frodo and trained little people on movement and mask work. In 2004 Kiran was back in New Zealand filming ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ playing a character called ‘Ginarrbrik’. Kiran also writes poetry, his work has been published in Britain and America. His poems are based on his thoughts and feelings about the places he has been and the experiences he has had. He has written film scripts and currently is working with his nephew on a script. He hopes one day these scripts will be produced. In 2004 with his nephew Kit formed a company called ‘Little Kiran Productions’ and in the same year with kit, he co-directed a short film called ‘Still living’ and in 2005 they have directed their first feature film ‘Weekend Lovers’. Kiran is a ‘Guinness World Record’ holder as the ‘shortest professional stuntman currently working in film’ since October 2003. http://www.littlekiran.com
